I decided to go to the cemetery to see what may catch my eye for this assignment. I loved the apparent history of this headstone that is visible in the weathering of the stone. I also loved that Fly was prominently placed at the bottom. Even though it is the last name of these individuals, it’s a romantic idea to think that when we leave this Earth we are no longer bound by gravity and can fly to distant worlds…wherever that may be.
