There are no roads that can lead me back
To yesterday or dreams gone by
The roads of coulda, woulda, shoulda are closed
Now I’m bone dry and my flask is light
Oh how I wish I could stop for the night
My feet keep trudging to a silent song
Please walk with me, for the night is long
I ask, but no one is there
So I keep on moving to keep my head clear
Now a little gathered
I’m at a fork in the road
I stand in a daze, which way should I go
One leads up and the other leads down
But who knows what will happen
In ten miles of ground
So now I step lightly, take hold of a path
Let go of resentments
And all things from the past
